Today, the head of the Supreme Political Council in Sana’a, Mahdi Al-Mashat, issued a warning to the USA against any escalation on the backdrop of the government’s position of supporting the Palestinian resistance against Israel.
Al-Mashat called in a televised speech on the occasion of Independence Day, the 30th of November, the USA “making adjustments to its hostile behaviors towards Yemen, considering that behavior doesn’t serve peace in the region” warning it “of the consequences of any persistence, or going to any escalation of any type, confirming, all of that will not forbids us from our principled positions towards Palestine, also taking any measure harms the Yemeni people’s interest will be considered as declaration of war, and we are going to deal with it , on this basis “ as he said.
Al-Mashat hailed what he had described the pioneering position of the country in supporting Gaza, reassuring that “this position will continue and intensify until the Zionist aggression against the children and civilians in the oppressed Gaza stops.
Also Al-Mashat praised the position of “many of the Islamic and Arab states that seemed complementary of the Yemeni positions, and all hopes that, they will surpass to better levels.”
Al-Mashat added as saying” I remind all the countries of our nation that pride, all pride, and protection, all protection, lies in harmony with our people’s positions and should never be affected with the American and westerner’s positions that brings stigma and disgracefulness and that should be refused and condemned by all the peoples’ of the world.”
On the other hand, Al-Mashat revealed that there is a progress in the Negotiations with coalition led by Saudi Arabia calling on commencing steps agreed upon for building confidence in the two humanitarian and economic aspects, and he said that” I remind the coalition leadership that we have covered important strides on the process of peace and there is no justification for any hesitation or refusal in involving practically in the procedures of building confidence especially in the humanitarian and economic aspects.”
Al-Mashat, warned the coalition of what he had described the consequences of persisting in listening or affected by war traders, calling the coalition to” scheduling the executive steps and actual start in rectifying the prisoners’ file, lifting restrictions of the Yemeni ports, air ports, and all issues including the arrangements of withdrawal from our territories and waters as soon as possible” as he said.
Referring to Saudi Arabia, Al-Mashat stressed, “all approaches aimed at addressing the effects and repercussions of the unjust war in a way that serves the two neighboring countries’ interests, and the region in general. “
