The first result of the Yemeni attacks against the vessels going to Israel

The Israeli government announced on Friday, that it agreed on the opening of Karam Abu Salem crossing between Egypt and Gaza Strip for entering the assistances, in a step seemed to be as a result of the Yemeni attacks in the Red Sea which motivated a number of “efficient” stats to send letters to Sana’a government in which confirmed their support to ceasefire, and entering assistances to Gaza, according to what Sana’a had stated before days.

The office of the Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, announced Friday, in a statement monitored by “Yemen Eco” that Israel agreed to allow the opening of Karam Abu Salem crossing.

The statement said “the opening of the crossing will help Israel to keep its commitment in allowing the entry of 200 trucks of assistances daily.”

The national security advisor in the White House Jake Sullivan welcomed the decision saying” it is an important step” and the USA hopes that will lead to assist in facilitating, access and distribution for the humanitarian assistance, through Rafah crossing. Karam Abu Salem crossing is located on the borders between Egypt, Israel and Gaza and considered one of the main crossing points for goods from and to Gaza, and it allows crossing rapidly in comparison with Rafah crossing which is specialized for the persons’ movement.

The crossing was closed since the 7th of October, whereas it was limited for the entry of the assistances on Rafah crossing only.

It seemed that the announcement for the opening of the crossing came related to the escalated operations carried out by the Sana’a forces against the vessels going to Israel from the Red Sea and the Arab sea, which Sana’a forces said that it will not stop till what Gaza strip needs of food and medicines assistances entered to Gaza.

Earlier, the head of the Sana’a negotiating delegation, Mohammed Abdu Salam said before three days, in a tweet monitored by “Yemen Eco” that on the background of the operations in the Red Sea and the Arab Sea we received multiple communications and letters from effective states confirming their support for the ceasefire in Gaza and their obligations to work on the entering of the humanitarian assistance to the Palestinian people and they are against the expansion of the conflict.” He added “with our encouragement for all stances demanding the ceasefire, and entering the assistances, we reaffirm on the importance of translating these stances on the real ground, Yemen’s stand will continue, steady beside the Palestinian people, until the halt of the aggression and the lifting of the siege of Gaza Strip.”

Sana’a forces announced on both days Thursday and Friday the targeting of three container’s vessels were going to Israel, and also announced today on carrying out an offensive with drones against targets described them as “sensitive “in Elat.
