The American Special Envoy to Yemen Tim Linder King, said that the truce gains should be protected that have been achieved during the year and a half in Yemen.
The impact of the fighting continuation in Palestine, pointing out that the worst of what the US fears of that Yemen enters into another war.
In an interview with the American Institute for Peace monitored by the “Yemen Eco” website, Linder King focused on Tuesday to what announced by the Pentagon earlier, on launching of missiles and drones from Yemen, toward Israel describing that as regrettable”
He explained” that the topic of Gaza came up in all discussions during the last round in the Sultanate of Oman and Saudi Arabia, pointing out that the situation in Gaza must be moved to a better level so that it is less emotional for all the parties”
Linder King added, “I am afraid of what will happen if the conflict continues in Gaza, and we’ve seen more incitement in the region, and pressure on the actors from all over the spectrum to participate,” in reference to what appears to include the parties of the so-called the axis of resistance supporting the Palestinian factions in Gaza, which includes the movement of “ Ansar Allah” in Yemen.
He said:” the worst I’m afraid of, of course it is that Yemen is driven to another war, but the war has not ended yet” pointing out the USA wants to protect the gains of the truce that was achieved during the year and a half at the level of the trips and the end of diplomatic efforts so that it can move forward.
“There is a great deal of work that we have to do,” and the American Secretary of State Antoni Blinken, said during a meeting with UN envoy to Yemen earlier that” Yemen is facing unsurpassed opportunity for peace” considering the other challenges in the region. and that means the fighting in Palestine, pointing out that an agreement must be reached to end the war as quickly as possible.
The US Secretary of State’s statment was followed by a Saudi movement to push forward reaching an agreement with the Sana’a government. Within the framework of “Yemeni Yemeni” according to a road map announced by media outlets affiliated with Saudi intelligence, which includes a ceasefire, the opening of the ports, airports, and roads, and the normalization of the situation, which are conditions that the Sana’a government had put forward at the negotiations table.
In spite of that the forces of the Yemeni government exposed a sudden state of alert related to the number of fronts on the Saudi borders, and in Meedi coastal region, the Middle East Newspaper affiliated with Saudi intelligence had reported that a source in the Yemeni ministry of defense has said that “the concentration of forces now focused on the exploitation of Alhoothi for the Palestinian cause as he expressed.
Saqir bin Aziz, who recently returned from a visit to the United States, announced that the government forces are in awakener position for any development and that is what the Saudi newspaper connected also to the Pentagon declared about the interception of drones and missiles launched from Yemen towards Israel.
It appeared that the developments in the military position of the government forces are related to an American strategy to respond to the participation of the parties of the axis of resistance in the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, using local forces, so that Washington can continue to focus on the priority of supporting Israel and Ukraine, according to what Biden recently announced.
The USA announced this week that it would “respond decisively” on the escalation against its forces in the region, which it had expected that it would expand in the short run.
The “resistance axis” threatened that it would launch a regional war against Israel and America if the Israeli attacks will not be stopped on Gaza strip and attempting to invade it by land.
Observers believe that what Linder King is talking about the effects of the ongoing fighting in Palestine on the gains of the truce is related to the American response strategy to the parties of the axis of resistance, including “Ansar Allah” in Yemen. because the movement of the government forces to respond to new operations for Sana’a government towards Israel, might lead to breaking out new confrontations that may affect the diplomatic efforts.
Observers see that taking about the necessity of safeguarding the truce gains indicates to the probability of using what progress has been achieved in the humanitarian file to make pressure on Sana’a in case of its involvement on the Palestinian Israeli conflict line.
